Speaker Biography
Guo-En Chang received the Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Applied Mechanics, National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, in 2010. In 2011, he joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering, National Chung Cheng University, Chiayi, Taiwan. Since 2025, he has been a full professor of the Department of Microelectronics at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Taiwan. His research interests include Si photonics, semiconductor optoelectronics, mid-infrared photonics, and optical biosensors. He was a recipient of several awards, such as the MOST Young Scholar Fellowship in 2019, the MOST Future Technology Award from the Ministry of Science and Technology of Taiwan in 2021, the NSTC 2030 Cross-generation Young Scholar. His current research interests include silicon photonics, semiconductor optoelectronics, and bio-photonics. He is currently the Associated Editor of IEEE/OPTICA Journal of Lightwave Technology. He is a Fellow of Optica, a senior member of IEEE, and a member of SPIE.
